The 13th All-African Games did not last for even 20 days. It took place in Accra from 8-23 March in 2024. It just lasted for 16 days. Yes!! 16 days.

Athletes, team officials, technical officers, and volunteers were fed with each individual receiving four meals a day.

“The amount is $15 million, and it provided four meals—breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks—per day for 23 days, not the 15, 18, or 10 figures being mentioned,” LOC Chairman Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare said during a press conference on Wednesday.

The Local Organising Committee fed 12,902 participants during the continental event hosted in the capital city of Ghana, Accra.

Ghana spent more than 150 million dollars in the hosting of the 13th All African Games. Many Ghanaians are surprised with the amount the Local Organising Committee has been quoting.
