Ghana has been struggling to win medals at the ongoing All-African Games but Winnifred Ntumi delivered astonishingly by winning Ghana’s first gold medal in the Women’s 49kg snatch in weightlifting on Sunday.

Ntumi secured silver earlier before going all out to win the gold medal for Ghana.

Flashback to Rabat in the 12th All-African Games In 2019, Winnifred Ntumi won Ghana’s first three medals.

The victory this morning will surely serve as a huge source of motivation to the other Ghanaian Athletes as the host nation has struggled to win medals so far.

Egypt leads the medal table after winning a whooping 36 medals as 20 are gold. Algeria, South Africa, Morocco and Tunisia follow in order with the most medals.
