A 15-year-old boy has unfortunately killed himself in remand after police refused him bail. His boss accused Simon Obeng of stealing his gold. He was reported to the police and subsequently arrested. The family requested his bail, but the police refused, saying it was too late in the evening to grant him bail. After refusing Simon Obeng bail, the Tarkwa Simpa Police claim the 15-year-old boy in their custody has committed suicide. It is reported that Simon was arrested on Thursday, June 5, after his employer accused him of stealing his gold.

However, according to sources, police informed the family on Sunday that Simon had hanged himself. The unexpected, tragic incident has left family members devastated and suspicious, demanding a better explanation.

The family accused the police of refusing the late Simon Obeng’s bail, claiming it was late, only to be informed that he had been found hanging in the police cell.
