They lack civility – Sefa Kayi berates UTV attackers
Ace broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi has reacted to a recent incident in which some individuals believed to be supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) entered UTV studios during a live show.
Chairman General, as he is affectionately known, condemned the attack and remarked that those who stormed the TV station lacked civility.
“They are just not civilized,” he berated on his Kokrokoo program Monday.
According to him, civilized people would seek redress with the appropriate quarters anytime they feel their reputation is harmed on radio or TV.
Kwami observed that the Saturday’s action was a wrong move and should never happen again.
“Let’s assume this will be the last one,” he said.
Meanwhile, the National Media Commission, Ghana Journalist Association, Ministry of Information, NDC, and NPP have all released statements denouncing the occurrence at the Ship House.
