According to him, the Ghana Aids Commission, about 355,000 people are living with HIV/AIDS
The Ghana AIDS Commission has launched “Red Ribbon Day” in anticipation of World AIDS Day slated for December 1 to raise more awareness and promote testing for HIV/AIDS.
This practice, according to the Director General of GAC, makes it difficult to trace the partner from which the virus was acquired.
On the GTV Breakfast show, Dr. Kyeremeh Atuahene bemoaned, “If a girl is in the hook-up business, when it comes to index testing it becomes a problem because who is she going to present as her partner, and they can’t tell who among their numerous partners infested them”, he explained.
