Adutwum inaccessible to become Bawumia’s running mate — Ben Ephson
Pollster Ben Ephson has launched a campaign against the Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum as a possible running mate for Dr. Muhammadu Bawumia in the 2024 general elections.
According to the Managing Editor for the Daily Dispatch Newspaper, Dr. Adutwuma, also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosomtwe is inaccessible hence, NPP should not consider him at all as a running mate for the party.
“You need someone who will be accessible to the supporters in the Ashanti region, and from my intelligence, I don’t think Mr. Adutwum is among the three listed,“ he admonished.
According to Mr. Ephson, the appointment of a candidate from the Ashanti region will be strategic to secure and boost the NPP’s votes in the Ashanti region, a stronghold of the party, come election 2024.
“The running mate will come from the Ashanti region, but I don’t know who it is. It could be one of the MPs,” he stated on the GTV Breakfast Show.
He listed the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu, Majority Leader of Parliament, Hon. Kyei Mensah Bonus, and Energy Minister, Hon. Martin Opoku Prempeh, as potential candidates for the running mate position
