‘They envy the Golden Stool’ — Otumfuo explains hatred towards Ashantis
His Royal Majesty—The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has observed that there are unseen hands doing things in the physical and spiritual realms to ensure the people under his kingdom do not succeed.
According to the King, the envy and hatred for the people of Ashanti is all because of the Golden Stool and the beautiful culture of the people.
“We are envied in the Ghana that we live in, some wish we could just be ejected. So, if you are in the kingdom, be careful. Isn’t it amazing, that the Whiteman came and tried as much as they could, but all of that led to nothing?
“The Whiteman was with weapons and ammunition but never got to even sight the Golden Stool.” the Asantehene stated in a video shared by Manhyia-based Opemsuo Radio.
The Ashanti Kingdom was founded in the 1700s. I have grown to become a beacon of rich culture and thriving African traditional leadership.
