Germany Institution invites Amansie South DCE and Policy team for Research
A ten-policy team from the Amansie South District in the Ashanti Region is set to research a range of issues from experts from the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health, Germany, facing the people in the district and, by extension, Ghana.
“We are excited to invite you to sit next to a 10-member policy team from Ghana to discuss research insights from selected topics”, an invitation extended to the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Amansie South, Ghana, Lawyer Clement Opoku Gyamfi reads.
According to DCE, the topics will touch on universal health coverage, managing chronic diseases, and fighting antimicrobial resistance in Ghana.
The DCE revealed the engagement will also cover areas such as Culture and Tourism, Education and Sustainability, and Climate Change which aims to benefit the people of Amansie South.

The Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH) is one of the research institutes at the Faculty of Medicine at Heidelberg University, Germany’s oldest university.
Through its research, the institute aims to contribute to improving the health of some of the sickest and poorest populations worldwide, especially in Africa and Asia.
Through its teaching, the institute aims to train the next generation of global health researchers and practitioners.
The research projects at the institute focus on Identifying important disease risk factors and healthcare needs
Discovering new approaches to improve population health
Establishing novel models of providing health care in Africa and Asia.
The institute was founded in 1962 and currently has more than 200 members (2021).
