‘President’ Bawumia will change the face of Northerners — Mahama kinsmen told
Former President, John Mahama has been accused of a slow pace of development in the Savanna Region and other parts of the Northern Regions while in office as Vice President and President.
Private legal practitioner, Nana Obiri Boahen claims the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer did little to ameliorate the living conditions of the people in the North, especially those in his hometown.
This, he explained, Mr. Mahama failed to lift the Bole District to municipal status.
“John Mahama should have lifted Bole to municipal status, but he failed to do that for yet to know reason. The NDC government did a poor job when it comes to decentralization.
“… And apart from the Acheampong regime, the Kufour and Akuffo-Addo/Bawumia governments are doing well by creating new regions. And if the people of Bole Bamboi want to see more developments, they should vote for Bawumia to become president.
‘He’ll lift Bole District Assembly to municipal status’, Nana Obiri Boahen status. I am optimistic about what I am saying because I am the person who made Bawumia the flag bearer of our party.” Nana Obiri Boahen said on Wontumi TV.
He also called for the government to cut financial aid to some metropolitan assemblies like KMA, AMA, and TMA among others.
Because they have more Internal Generated Funds to develop their respective area.
