Like doctors et al, teachers must also have the same respect from Mahama— Ministry’s PRO fumes
Former President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2024 presidential candidate, Mr. John Mahama has received a flake from the Education Ministry over his proposal to cancel teachers’ allowance should he become president again.
A Deputy Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Education (MoE), Mr. Yaw Opoku Mensah observes the former President is paying lip service and only interest in votes.
Mr. Opoku Mensah, therefore admonished the former president to say the same about another professional should he mean good intent
“Why is former President John Mahama not proposing to cancel licenses for Nurses, Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers, etc but fixated on teachers?
“The Ghanaian teaching profession has come a long way to be recognized internationally.
“Let’s continue to develop the standards of the profession deepen the respect and celebrate the success gained rather than play politics with the system”, Mr. Yaw Opoku Mensah posted on his Facebook wall
