Rumour: Akufo-Addo sacks two appointees over Galamsey and insurbidation in A/R?
Unconfirmed information from the presidency has that President Nana Akufo-Addo is unhappy with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu, Samuel Oduro Frimpong ,and the District Chief Executive (DCE), Michael Donkor all in the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, the two appointees risk losing their jobs.
It has been alleged that Oduro Frimpong has become detached from his constituents and remains passive in addressing the municipality’s problems and failing to engage with stakeholders.
Michael Donkor, the District Chief Executive for Amansie Central, is accused of not residing in the district and being involved in illegal mining (galamsey).
The report also suggested that the DCE’s actions have caused disaffection among the locals.
