The 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup draw was conducted in Cairo on Monday morning with former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs’ winger Siphiwe Tshabalala serving as one of the assistants for the draw.
2022-23 champions USM Alger of Algeria will face Stade Malien of Mali, Jaraaf of Senegal and South Africa’s Stellenbosch in Group A.
Defending champions Zamalek will meet Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast, Black Bulls of Mozambique and Orapa of Botswana.
Group C contains two times winners Berkane who finished as runner up last season; wil play North African Derbies with Al Masry of Egypt, CS Constantine of Algeria and Angolan side CD Lundal Sul.
CS Sfaxien, three times winners will face Nigwrian side Enyimba as well as Tanzania’s Simba and Bravos do Maquis of Angola.
Another fantastic competition is expected per the pedigree of the top teams in the competition.
Zamalek, USM, RS Berkane, CS Sfaxien, Al Masry, Asec Mimosas and Enyimba FC are on any day CAF Champuons League teams but have settled for Confederation Cup slots.
