The 22nd edition of the CAF Confederation Cup and the 50th overall season of Africa’s secondary inter-club football competition will commence on Wednesday.
Defending champions, Zamalek will host Black Bulls of Mozambique in Cairo at 7 pm. Last season’s runner-up, RS Berkane, commences their campaign with a game against Angolan side Lundu Sul in Morocco.
The biggest game of the week will be a North African derby where three-time winner SC Sfaxien will lock horns against Algerian league leader Constantine.
West African derby between ASEC Mimosas and Jaaraf of Senegal will also be a crunch clash in Abidjan.
South African side Stellenbosch visits Stade Malien while Al Masry in Egypt faces Enyimba from Nigeria.
