The much-anticipated 2025-26 Ghana Premier League starts on Friday night with Accra giants Hearts of Oak hosting the newly promoted side Hohoe United at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Fans of Phobia expect the club to have a good start and subsequently build the rest of the season on the good results they expect on Friday night.

Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s side are confident heading into the new season after a great pre-season, which culminated in the club recording their first-ever victory over their perennial rivals, Asante Kotoko, in two years.

Newly promoted side Hohoe United has one objective in the 2025-26 Premier League season: to amass maximum points that can help them remain in the league.

On Saturday, CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup-bound Bibiani Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko open their campaigns with fixtures against Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea.

The defending champions will have a very good opportunity to begin their season with a win against Bechem United.

Asante Kotoko will travel to Berekum Chelsea with head coach Karim Zito optimistic that the Porcupine Warriors will have a good result.

On Sunday, Heart of Lions will welcome Dreams FC at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

Holy Stars will host new boys Eleven Wonders from Techiman.

Karela United, who escaped relegation in the latter part of the season, hosts Aduana Stars with a tough fixture expected here.

Nations FC at the DR Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese entertains Swqeduru All Blacks, who return to the top flight after a long absence.

Samartex will travel to Vision, whilst Young Apostles will welcome Medeama SC.
