Noah Lyles, who had been inactive for four months because of an injury and had a less-than-satisfactory performance at the Paris Olympics, successfully won his fourth straight World Championships gold medal in the men’s 200 meters.

Lyles advanced through the heats with a time of 19.99 seconds, but he made a notable impact in the semifinals by achieving a World Lead and Season’s Best time of 19.51 seconds.

Bryan Levell from Jamaica performed well in his semifinal with a time of 19.78 seconds, positioning himself as a strong contender for a medal.

In the final race, Lyles started quickly from the starting blocks, while Levell had a small advantage on the curve.

At 120 meters, Lyles, Levell, Kenny Bednarek, and Letsile Tebogo were nearly even.

However, in the final portion of the race, Lyles pulled ahead to retain his title with a time of 19.52 seconds, matching Usain Bolt’s record of four consecutive world championships in the 200 meters.

Bednarek won the Silver medal with a time of 19.58 seconds, while Levell took the Bronze with a personal best of 19.64 seconds, finishing just ahead of Tebogo, who recorded a season’s best of 19.65 seconds to place fourth.
