The head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton remains at post despite rumours of plans by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to sack the tactician.

On Thursday, November 9, news spread that the Ghana FA will hold an Executive Council meeting on Friday to sack the Black Stars head coach.

However, this evening, it has become clear that those reports may have been a complete hoax.

This follows the announcement of the Black Stars squad for the November international break by coach Chris Hughton.

The announcement means coach Chris Hughton is leading Ghana into the first round of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The squad has three goalkeepers including Joseph Wollacott who has returned to the squad after recovering from his injury.

Baba Rahman misses out on the squad while Kasim Nuhu Adams also makes a return to the squad.

Daniel Amartey, Mohammed Kudus, and the Ayew brothers are all in the squad.
