Head coach Corentin Da Silva Martins on Wednesday announced 26 man squad that will represent Madagascar in March’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers games against Central Africa Republic and Ghana.

Madagascar would be eager to return to winning ways after failing to win any of the six games they played during the quick fire 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

In the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the minnows sit in third position in Group I with just two points seperating them and Comoros and Ghana who are occupying first and second places respectively on the table.

The squad is headlined by FC Bucarest’s Hakim Abdallah, Noireaut-Dauriat Samuel of EA Guingamp, Young Boys’ Raveloson Rayan, Iva Tommy of US Orleans, Acapandie Mathieu of FC Nantes, Fontaine Thomas of FC Sochaux and Thornon Evian’s Adrien Melvin.

Madagascar’s rounds 5 and 6 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers will be played in Morocco. They will travel to Central Africa Republic on 19th March 2025 at Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca in round 5.

In round 6, Madagascar will host the Black Stars of Ghana at Le Grande Stade Dal Hociema.
