Kofi Kinaata commenced the 48th Sports Writers Association of Ghana Awards night with a wonderful performance as attendees were extremely excited with his performance.

In attendance at the colourful event sponsored by NGUVU Mining Limited was H. E Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana.

Founded in 1968, The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) is the umbrella body for Sports journalists in Ghana. It includes all sports journalists in the print media, online on radio and TV.

Mohammed Kudus won Male Footballer of the Year.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ right back, Comfort Yeboah won Homebased Female Footballer of the Year.

It was a beautiful night for Medeama SC as they won the Club of the Year, Jonathan Sowah won Home-based Player of the Year and Evans Adotey won Coach of the Year.

Rose Yeboah Amonimaa won Female Athlete of the Year while James Dadzie was crowned as the Male Athlete of the Year.

Gary Al-Smith of Joysports was crowned the Sports Journalist of the Year.
