Medeama parted ways with Nebojsa Kapor on Tuesday after an inconsistent performance so far in the season. The Bosnian head coach made a good start to life in Tarkwa but things have not been rosy recently for the Tarkwa-based club and the head coach.

Medeama SC has named Technical Director Augustine Evans Adotey as interim head coach following the departure of Nebojsa Kapor.

Augustine Evans Adotey won the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League title for the Mauve and Yellow for the first time in their history. He also led them to the Money Zone of the CAF Champions League where they failed to qualify from Group D alongside eventual winners Al Ahly of Cairo, CR Belouizdad and Young Africans.

In the middle of the 2023-24 CAF Champions League, the club shockingly announced that Nebojsa Kapor will take the head coach role and Evans Adotey will return to his Technical Director role.

Medeama sits 5th on the league log with three points separating them from the leader’s Heart of Lions.

Adotey’s immediate job is to bring consistency to the squad as it is the only way they can challenge for the title. His first game in charge will be at the TNA Park against Karela United on Saturday, 21st December at 6 pm.
