Antoine Semenyo is now among the fine forwards in the English Premiership after catching the eyes of Tottenham Hotspurs and some of the big clubs.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian forward initially struggled when he moved to Bournemouth from Bristol City in the January 2023 transfer window.
Former Liverpool forward Micheal Owen who currently works as a pundit for SkySports believes Antoine Semenyo could be the better to Mohammed Salah whose contract is set to expire in the 2025 summer.
“I don’t think Mo Salah will leave this season, but in the event he leaves, I would be surprised if Liverpool don’t consider Semenyo as a replacement,” Owen said
Semenyo has scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist in the current campaign helping Andoni Iraola’s Cherries shockingly sit 6th on the log after an unbelievable start to the season after MD16.
The Ghanaian is the forward who has enjoyed more minutes (1391) in the Bournemouth squad having played every game thus far.
Antoine Semenyo is blessed with pace, power, dribbling and a wonderful finishing so he has what it takes to replace the irreplaceable Salah.
Bournemouth thrashed Manchester United 3-0 last Sunday and Semenyo was on target. The Cherries have won four and drawn one in their previous five games. On Boxing Day, Semenyo and co will welcome Crystal Palace in week 17 of the season.
