John Dramani Mahama will be inaugurated as the president of Ghana officially on 7th January, after his comprehensive victory over incumbent Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 General Elections.
On Friday, the outgoing 82-year-old USA president, Joe Biden, announced a Delegation from the US to attend the inauguration of Ghana’s President-elect John Dramani Mahama on January 7, 2025, in Accra, Ghana.
In a statement from the White House, Biden named Shalanda D. Young, director of the United States Office of Management and Budget, as leader of the delegation.
Members of the delegation include Virginia E. Palmer, U.S. Ambassador to Ghana; Karen Bass, Mayor of Los Angeles, California; and Frances Z. Brown, special assistant to the President and senior director for African Affairs at the White House’s National Security Council.
