Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo was at his best as usual after dazzling at Stamford Bridge when Bournemouth visited Chelsea in London.

Chelsea knew the battle ahead as Bournemouth have been so sensational in the current campaign with Andoni Iraola’s side having been in the Top 7 for most part of the season.

Cole Palmer latched on to Nicholas Jackson’s wonderful through ball. He calmly fainted his shot, deceiving goalkeeper Travers and slotted the ball calmly into the net to give Chelsea the lead in the 13th minute.

Chelsea’s lead did not last long in the second after Antoine Semenyo won a penalty for the Cherries. Justin LKluivert who is a penalty specialist converted it for the away side in the 50th minute to restore parity. Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo continued his fine form by showing everyone the reason Liverpool and Chelsea have put them on their list of forwards for the summer transfer window.

Blessed with power, Semenyo breezed past a Chelsea defender after Ryan Christie had fed him the ball. He quickly shot the ball into the top left corner as Sanchez was helpless to give Bournemouth a deserved 2-1 lead.

Reece James scored a free kick in the 95th minute to deny Bournemouth another famous win away at one of the big boys.

The 25-year-old has scored 6 goals and provided two assists in the EPL. He is just two goals to equal his tally for the 2023-24 season.

Semenyo’s development is extraordinary after arriving from Bristol City in the Championship in 2022. It is so clear that the big teams in England will chase him in the 2025 summer transfer window.
