The former Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Kweku Eyiah, has informed the GFA that it will be so dangerous to the nation if the Black Stars fail to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Failure to qualify for the World Cup will be disastrous, and Ghanaians will not forgive them,” Ayiah said on Asempa.
Ghana will miss the 2025 AFCON in Morocco after failing to win any of the 6 games played against Sudan, Niger and Angola. The Black Stars finished at the bottom of the log in the qualifiers, surprisingly. Ghanaians have not forgotten the terrible performances and are yet to forgive the team. Only a slot in the USA-CANADA-MEXICO World Cup can calm things down.
“A lot of Ghanaians want to travel to the USA, Canada especially, and so we should not disappoint them,” Ayiah Eric concluded.
Ghanaians love to travel to seek better working conditions, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup is a huge opportunity for many people from the West African nation to travel, especially to Canada and the USA.
Ghana is second in Group I of the qualifiers, with goals difference separating them from the table toppers Comoros. The Black Stars have won three and lost one in the four games played so far.
Ghana will host Chad and travel to Madagascar next month on matchday five and six, respectively.
