Ghana did not qualify for the AFCON 2025 but the nation will be well represented in Morocco. Sudan’s coaching staff is headed by former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah, with Ignatius Osei Fosu serving as his chief lieutenant.
There will likely be a Ghanaian-born and bred midfielder who will represent Tanzania.
Emmanuel Keyekeh, who moved from the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League champions, Samartex SC, in July 2024 to Singida Black Stars in Tanzania, has finally switched his nationality from Ghanaian to Tanzanian.
The 27-year-old bona fide box-to-box midfielder, who played for Karela United and Asante Kotoko before leading Samartex’s title charge last season, has been confirmed to be eligible to represent Tanzania.
Tanzania qualified for the 2025 AFCON and is in Group C alongside Nigeria, Tunisia and neighbours Uganda.
It remains unknown whether Suleiman Hemed, the head coach of Tanzania, will give him a call-up very soon or later to the senior national team of Tanzania.
