“Best player in history?” – Marcelo refuses to crown anyone

Marcelo played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid for nearly a decade. He won uncountable titles with the Portuguese superstar. He occupied the same area normally on the pitch with Ronaldo. He trained with him every day, so Marcelo knows exactly who Cristiano Ronaldo is.

The former Real Madrid and Brazilian left-back was asked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s claims that he is the Greatest Footballer of All Time. The Brazilian did not agree, nor did he disagree, but rather disclosed that he doesn’t like comparisons and praised both Ronaldo and Messi.

“I don’t think there’s one. We’re lucky to have played in the same eraasf Cristiano and Messi. I don’t like comparisons, but we have to say they were both incredible and I’ve been lucky to be part of this.

“When Messi scored 2 goals Cristiano had to score 3, and then Messi wanted to score 4. Many people want to compare but forget to enjoy,” he told LaRevuelta.

Whilst enjoying Ronaldo as a teammate, Marcelo, 36, needed to face the monstrous Lionel Messi in Laliga and other competitions at least twice a year.
