We all tried to hit back at Jamie Carragher for his disrespectful comments towards the coveted AFCON but we all failed to use the right words.

Former Bayern Munich defender Sammy Kuffuor however has been able to find the right words to ridicule the former Liverpool defender who said AFCON is not a major tournament when he was discussing Mohammed Salah’s chances of winning the illustrious award after the Reds 2-0 win at the Etihad over Manchester City in the EPL in February.

“Jamie Carragher has to apologise to all African people because AFCON is not a normal tournament,” Kuffour said on Sporty FM on Wednesday.

Jammie Carragher has indeed explained that he never meant to disrespect the tournamnet after been criticized severely by many people across the globe.

“What has Jamie Carragher achieved? If he wasn’t born in Liverpool, he would not have had the chance to play for Liverpool,” Kuffour continued.

Jammie Carragher is one of the few one club men football has produced in the last 30 years as he played for Liverpool’s Youth between 1988 to 1997. He played for the senior team between 1996 to 2013 making 508 appearances scoring 3 goals for his beloved Liverpool.

Sammy kuffuor did not mince his words when he was roasting Carragher.

“If we mention the best 2,000 defenders in the world, Jamie Carragher will not be part of them. He’s nothing. He just talks. He should be ashamed of himself,” Sammy Kuffuor said.

Will you agree that Jamie Carragher will not be listed among the best 2,000 defenders of all time?

Former Bayern Munich defender Samuel Osei Kuffuor believes Jamie Carragher was nothing special but rather played for Liverpool because he is from Bootle, a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Mersyside, England.
