** All Games to be played on Tuesday 1st April 2025

The quarter-finals of the 2024-25 CAF Champions League first leg will be played on Tuesday across the continent with South African clubs Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates all in action.

The Masandawana will welcome Esperance to Pretoria in the repeat of last season’s semi-finals when the Tunisians surprisingly defeated Sundowns home and away. The Brazilians will have a double motivation as they would love to redeem themselves regarding the defeat they suffered against the North Africans. All is set for this huge fixture with a lot at stake in Pretoria.

MC Alger in Algeria will host Orlando Pirates. Jose Riveiro’s side have already won twice in North Africa this season and looks the favourite to return home with another win. MC Alger is now a tough opponent compared to the earlier performances in the season.

Defending champions Al Ahly will host Florent Ibenge’s Al Hilal Oumdurman in Cairo in the first leg. Al Ahly has a huge opportunity to qualify for the semi-finals because their opponents would not have the opportunity to play in Sudan but in Mauritania in the second leg.

Pyramids will welcome Moroccan side FAR Rabat to Cairo in probably the biggest game in the round. North African meetings are very tough, with both teams ready to fancy their chances. The two teams are enjoying a good season, and a competitive game is expected.
