Asante Kotoko secured a crucial 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea to reclaim the top spot of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Tension was high during and after the game, with Berekum Chelsea thinking that referee Ibrahim Ayaaba was a bit unfair to them.

“Me? I don’t want to talk. If you talk, they will fine you. My boys did well; let’s keep playing like this.” – Samuel Boadu said after the Berekum Chelsea against the Kotoko game.

Samuel Boadu, in the post-match conference, was unwilling to comment about the referee because he did not want to be punished by the GFA.

The former Hearts of Oak coach was spotted on the touchline shouting and screaming about many decisions from the officials at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in his side’s loss in Oseikrom.

Samuel Boadu and Berekum Chelsea will have the opportunity to revenge the defeat when the two meet in the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup later this month at the TNA Park in Tarkwa.
