Imagine Yvonne on the mic jabbing her colleague rappers. Imagine Yvonne telling stories through raps. She once revealed that Obrafour remains her best rapper, and she used to rap most of his songs when Obrafour was the king of all Ghanaian rappers.

Yvonne has made a huge name through acting in both Gallywood and Nollywood. She is considered one of the best actresses of the new generation in Ghana.

“I wanted to be a rapper. Back in school, I used to rap a lot. We had a group like the Fugees, and I was the Lauryn Hill of the group. I loved Lauryn Hill,” she said.

Nelson rolled back the years and remembered her High School days when she was the Lauryn Hill of a group called Fugees. She then took the rapping role.

She continued, “Life happens. Destiny happens. I found myself in the entertainment industry because it was meant to be.

“I didn’t even audition for a role. Abdul Salam saw me at Afrikiko, spoke to me, took my number, and invited me to the set. That’s how everything started for me,” she added.
