Maxwell Konadu has been at home for two months after being sacked by Black Leopards. The tactician who stunned everyone and lifted the MTN FA Cup in 2024 has been enjoying his life away from football after a tumultuous stay in South Africa.
In an interview with Graphic Sports, one of the top Ghanaian coaches currently revealed his plans for the future and expects to return so soon.
“My agent has been calling to check up on me, and since I’m back home now, I’m just waiting to take the next step,” he said.
Konadu, who previously managed Ghanaian clubs Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC, added that he has already held informal talks with several clubs but prefers to wait until the current season concludes before making any official decisions.
“I’ve spoken to a few clubs already, but I won’t go into details about which ones. The focus is to wait for the right moment,” he noted.
There will be many changes at the coaching department of many Ghana Premier League clubs at the end of the season, and Maxwell Konadu is expected to get a new job because of his vast experience.
He has served as an assistant head coach of Balck Stars. He has managed Asante Kotoko and recently won the MNT GA Cup with the minnows Nsoatreman FC.
“Since my agent is based in South Africa, it’s evident that the interest is from there. So, yes, there’s a high chance I’ll be moving back next season,” Konadu confirmed.
Maxwell Konadu confirmed that he could also return to South Africa because his agent lives in the Rainbow Nation. Maxwell Konadu recently had an unsuccessful spell as the head coach of Black Leopards in South Africa. He was sacked after poor performances from the team.
