Since the sacking of Prosper Ogum as the head coach of Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak’s Aboubakar Ouattara has been under pressure to be sacked because he has failed to send the club to the level they require.
Many fans have called for him to be replaced because Asante Kotoko did not let loyalty deceive them and finally parted ways with their boss.
In an interview on Hot 93.9 FM, Accra Hearts of Oak’s head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, was at his elements and made a humorous comment about how Ghanaians treated him and the former ex-president, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo.
“Akufo-Addo and I were the two most insulted people in 2024 in Ghana. Some journalists criticised me for a whole week without insulting me, and when we meet, I still speak with them because I know they’re just doing their job. But if you stand before me and speak out of line, I’m not Jesus Christ; I won’t just let it go. I will respond,” Ouattara said.
Aboubakar Outtara’s comments are very funny but true, as he has always been analysed before, during and after every game critically. Pundits and fans have failed to credit him even if the team hits higher standards. They always blame him when things turn sour.
Phobia has a 2 per cent chance of winning the Ghana Premier League after a mediocre season. The club is set to go trophyless once again after failing to challenge for any of the two trophies.
