The taskforce for the 2026 FIFA World Cup was officially announced on Tuesday, with USA president, Donald Trump, FIFA president Gianni Infantino, USA’s Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem and former US Soccer Federation president Carlos Cordeiro, who is now Infantino’s senior advisor, were all in attendance.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is less than 13 months for the big kick-off, with arrangements underway.

USA president Donald announced to the world that the next World Cup will be the biggest in history.

The 2026 World Cup be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, will be the “biggest, safest and most extraordinary soccer tournament in history,” President Trump said.

“The tournament would generate ‘tens of billions of dollars in economic activities for local businesses’ and thousands and thousands of jobs for American workers”.

Donald Trump shocked many by saying he never knew Russia had been banned from the world of football.

America expects $50bn in economic output and almost 300,000 jobs for the citizens because of the imminent 2025 FIFA Club World Cup to be hosted in the USA alone and next year’s showpiece occasion to be co-hosted alongside Canada and Mexico.

Vice President JD Vance said;

“We want them to come, we want them to celebrate, we want them to watch the game,” “But when the time is up, they’ll have to go home. Otherwise, they’ll have to talk to Secretary Noem.”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said;

2 million foreign visitors are expected to come to the United States for the tournament. “It will go smoothly”.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino said;

“America will welcome the world. Everyone who wants to come here to enjoy, to have fun, to celebrate the game, will be able to do that”.

The USA last hosted the World Cup in 1994, where Brazil beat Italy on penalties. The 94 World Cup is considered by many soccer/football fans as the best of all the World Cups, and Trump expects the 2026 edition to trump the previous ones.
