The Ghana Premier League has just two rounds of games to go, with three teams still in contention for the title. League leaders, Nations FC, travel to face Basake Holy Stars at the Ampain AAK II Sports Arena.

A win for Nations will end Kotoko’s slim hope of winning the league. Bibiani Gold Stars will need to win before postponing the Nations’ celebrations if they win at Basake. On the other hand, Holy Stars need the three points to win a slot for the 2025-26 GPL season. The minnows are just a place above the relegation zone, with three points separating them and Accra Lions, who sit in 16th place on the log.

The clash became a difficult one, with tension rising two days before the game. News emanating from the Holy Stars and Nations FC clash is that the home team have decided to let no media house cover the gam, which is against the laws of the game.

The Ghana Football Association has yet to announce the news, but the game will be played.
