The Office of the Special Prosecutor has declared Kennedy Ofori-Atta, the former Finance Minister of Ghana, wanted again.

Ofori Atta, 66, served as Ghana’s Finance Minister for 7 years under Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration and has been chased by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP)

The OSP announced;

This Suspect (Ken Ofori Atta) is wanted to answer charges in respect of several cases including Strategic Mobilisation- GRA Contract, Termination of ECG-BXC contract, National Cathedral payments, Ambulance Procurement contract and Tax Refund Account Utilisation.

Ofori Atta has been declared wanted a couple of months ago and has on June 1st been declared wanted again.

The OSP has given him until June 2nd to appear, but his lawyers say he won’t be able to meet their demands because he is not feeling well, and hence, he is receiving medical attention in the USA.

The OSP suspects Ken Ofori-Atta to be either in the USA, the United Kingdom, South Africa,  Guyana, Hong Kong, or the Cayman Islands.
