MP for Garu, Dr. Thomas Anabah, was bold enough to say Chairman Wontumi was “just pretending” and didn’t deserve public sympathy after he spent 5 days in EOCO’s custody.

After the GHC50M bail was settled, cameras captured Wontumi looking so exhausted like someone who has been suffering from a mild stroke for nearly half a year.

Many Ghanaians have had divided opinion concerning Wontumi’s look. Some believe he faked to win sympathy from the public whiles others think he was truly sick.

Honourable George Oduro, former MP for New Dubease, has hit back at Garu’s MP, Anabah, for saying Wontumi was not being honest but just faking that he was released by EOCO.

“Why would he fake?”. “He didn’t eat or drink for five days. Naturally, anyone would break down,” Oduro said.

Reports from George Oduro revealed that Chairman Wontumi neither ate nor drank when he was in the Custody of EOCO for 5 days.

“There was no stroke. Just a man refusing to eat under stress. Let’s get serious,” George Oduro added.

Reports say that Chairman Wontumi will be prosecuted by EOCO sooner rather than later.
