Ghanaian versatile defender Tariq Lamptey has extended his Brighton and Hove Albion deal by a year.
The 24-year-old who can play as a right back, right wing back and left back has renewed his contract, which was due to end on June 30th 2025. The one extension means Lamptey will be at the American Express Stadium until at least 30th June 2026.
The club announced on X, “We’re pleased to announce Tariq has agreed a one-year contract extension with Albion!”

The Ghanaian moved from Chelsea in a deal worth 1.2 million pounds in January 2020, but has suffered many injuries, which have limited the growth of his full potential, although he is an excellent defender anytime he gets the opportunity to play.
Lamptey played 15 EPL games for Brighton & Hove Albion in the just ended season, scoring two goals and providing 2 assists as well.
