The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving was expected to be big, and it did not fail. With the presence of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson, the programme was successful as promised.

Patricia Asiedu, a former fetish priest who is now an evangelist, was also in attendance to grace the event. After the program, cameras captured Agradaa greeting some big pastors. The biggest moment was when she hugged and exchanged words with the president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.

“I’m so excited to be here today, especially to see the President in person,” she said with enthusiasm. “What he has done is beautiful. It shows vision. I had the opportunity to hug him today, and honestly, even if I don’t make it to heaven, I feel okay,” she added, drawing laughter and reactions from onlookers.

Evangelist Mama Pat could not hide her excitement after meeting Ghana’s president.

In a bid to promote peace, unity and togetherness, both Christians and Muslims joined forces in Accra to observe the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
