Driver and bodyguard of Gold Dealer arrested for conspiring to rob him

A gold dealer’s driver and his bodyguard, who plotted to rob their boss’s gold worth Ghc 1.3 million, have been arrested. Adams Yussif, Masawudu Yussif and Kenneth Khartey were arrested following indications that they had conspired to rob the dealer during a scheduled gold delivery the following day.

Kenneth was arrested near Akuapem-Mamfe while riding a motorbike and trailing a Land Cruiser transporting the gold consignment.

Later the same day, suspects Adams Zibo and Masawudu Yussif were arrested at East Legon in an unregistered blue Hyundai vehicle.

The two suspects, according to police investigations, had procured firearms, motorbikes and a getaway vehicle for the robbery and were responsible for the sale of the gold after the robbery. Kudos to the Ghana police for the swift response.
