The Ghana Premier League will commence in September after the Ghana Football Association reached an agreement with all stakeholders.

The top division of Ghanaian football has been battling officiating issues for some reason, where finance is the biggest among them all.

Ghanaian referees are always scrutinised because of their performances, which many football fans believe it is below the standard required. Referees in Ghana have always complained about the delay in their allowances.

Their allowances per game are very low, to the extent that it makes their job unprofessional.

Ghanaian referees have revealed that they will accept between %300 $400 per game allowance before they will officiate the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League season.

The referees in Ghana will enter negotiations with the Ghana Football Association soon to discuss the way forward.
