Paul Pogba, 32, participated in training with his AS Monaco teammates for the first time since joining the club at the end of June.
This incident occurred during a session on Thursday morning in La Turbie, as reported by Get French Football News.
He participated only in the warm-up, not in the entire session.
Pogba has not participated in any matches since September 2023 because of a doping suspension.
The initial ban was for four years, but it was shortened to 18 months following an appeal.
At that time, the French player left Juventus after agreeing to terminate his contract and subsequently joined Monaco, signing a two-year agreement at the end of June.
He will not be ready at the beginning of the season. Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro stated during the player’s presentation that there is a plan to restore his fitness over the next three months.
This suggests that Pogba is expected to return at the beginning of October.
Scuro has stated that the club is continuing to work on this timeline.
During a press conference that GFFN attended, Adi Hütter shared additional information regarding his return. “We need to be cautious and ensure his safety.” He may be able to participate in practice during a full training session in two weeks.
“He can be part of the practice (full training session). We are looking forward to having him as fast as possible,” said the Monaco manager.
