Manchester United’s disastrous moment seems not to be ending anytime soon. The Red Devils visit to Fulham ended on a poor note as the team struggled to deal with Fulham’s incessant pressure, which led to a 1-1 draw at the end of the contest on Sunday afternoon.

Ruben Amorim’s side got off to a good start as they created five chances within the first fifteen minutes, with Matheus Cunha twice nearly scoring for the away side.

Fulham then took over the control of the game, with Manchester United never returning to dominate the London-based club at Craven Cottage.

Fulham’s double pivot of Lukic and Sande Berge was superior to Man U’s Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, who looked so lost and uncompetitive against Marco Silva’s duo.

Casemiro was replaced by Sesko, where Mount drew back from his forward role and replaced the Brazilian in the deeper role.

Many fans wondered why Mainoo has not been given the chance to stabilise things in the middle for the Red Devils.

“He needs to fight for a position with Bruno,” the United head coach said after the game when the press quizzed him about the young English midfielder.

Mainoo was captured by the cameras looking so dejected, as nothing shows that he will get the chance under Amorim.

An own goal by Munoz for Manchester United was cancelled by Smith-Rowe’s equaliser. Manchester United won their first point of the season in two games, where Fulham recorded their second successive 1-1 draw in the new season.

Ruben Amorim is under immense pressure to deliver after splashing 200 million pounds on new attackers, but has failed to score a single goal in the 180 minutes of action so far.

Manchester United travel to Grimsby in the EFL on Wednesday and welcome Burnley on Saturday afternoon before the international break.
