Sunderland has finalised a significant transfer on deadline day, with Ajax striker Bryan Brobbey expected to join the team.

The agreement will result in the 22-year-old forward taking over for Marc Guiu, who has gone back to Chelsea after his loan period.

The deal between Sunderland and Ajax is said to be valued at €20 million as a base amount, plus an extra €5 million in potential add-ons.

Brobbey is scheduled to have his medical examination soon before being officially introduced as a new player for the Black Cats.

Brobbey, of Ghanaian descent, has been an impressive striker in the Dutch Eredivisie and is regarded as a strong enhancement to Sunderland’s offence.

The Championship team believes that his speed, strength, and scoring ability will improve their chances this season.

This action is seen as a significant indication from Sunderland, demonstrating their intention to compete vigorously in the league and develop a team that can perform at a high standard.

With this signing, Sunderland fans are eager to see Brobbey take the lead and apply his European experience at the Stadium of Light.
