Otto AGhana will have a great chance to win Group I of the CAF’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers if they can amass the six points against Chad and Mali.

The Black Stars sit on top of the log having won five games and lost one in the six played. The second-placed Comoros are three points behind Otto Addo’s team and must at least win all four matches before they will stand any chance to leapfrog the West Africans.

The team is preparing for a game against Chad on Thursday, and head coach Otto Addo has revealed that the team is in very good shape and well motivated to do business.

“We are in a good situation, and I hope that we can do everything to qualify. We have to take it step by step; we can’t make a mistake.

“A lot of people are talking about the World Cup already, but it’s still a long way.

“The next is the focus on the Chad game, and I hope that we can win,” he added.

Chad, at their capital city, N’Djamena, will host Ghana on Thursday at 1 pm at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, where the Black Stars expect to clinch the three points.

Chad are yet to record a single point in their six games, having scored only one goal and conceded an astonishing 15 goals.
