Mohammed Kudus scored his first-ever goal for Tottenham Hotspur at Eland Road on Saturday in the early kick-off.
Tel’s opener in the 23rd for Tottenham was cancelled by Okafor’s equaliser in the 34th. The first half ended 1-1 with both sides having great chances to win all three points.
Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus’ in the 57th minute made the difference.
The Ghanaian had been playing so well since securing a 55 million pounds move from West Ham in the 2025 summer transfer window, but had yet to register a goal for Frank’s side.
His strike helped Spurs secure an important 2-1 win away at Leeds, which has helped them move to third place on the log, trailing table toppers Arsenal by just two points.
Thomas Frank, Tottenham’s manager, was delighted with Kudus’ first goal in the EPL for the club.
“It was about time, wasn’t it? We’ve got big expectations,” he said after the match.
“I’m so happy for Mo – he needed that goal. He’s been our best offensive player so far. You just see, he looked a little bit more fluid”, Frank added.
Mohammed Kudus’ addition was expected to help bring the best out of Richarlison and Tel, who have struggled as strikers since joining the club respectively from Everton and Bayern Munich, but the signs look encouraging now, and the fans will expect it to continue for a long time.
