The National Service Authority (NSA) has extended the deadline for online registration for the 2025/2026 service year from October 15 to October 27, 2025, giving prospective personnel more time to complete their enrolment.

The NSA announced the extension in a statement released on Wednesday, October 15, citing the need to accommodate eligible graduates who were unable to finalise their registration within the original timeframe.

The online registration, which was initially scheduled to close on October 15, will now remain open until Monday, October 27.

This move is expected to ease pressure on applicants and ensure that no qualified individual is left out of this year’s national service postings.

According to the Director-General of the NSA, the decision reflects the Authority’s commitment to inclusivity and fairness in the national service process.

Many applicants reportedly faced technical challenges and delays in accessing required documents, prompting calls for an extension.

The NSA emphasised that the new deadline is final and urged all prospective service personnel to take advantage of the additional time to complete their registration without further delay.

The Authority also reminded registered personnel to prepare for deployment, with service expected to begin on Monday, November 3.

It cautioned that failure to register by the new deadline could result in exclusion from the 2025/2026 postings.

As the registration portal remains open, the NSA continues to provide support through its regional offices and online platforms to assist applicants in completing the process smoothly.
