Preparations towards the 2006 FIFA World Cup have fully commenced. The trip to the USA, Canada, and Mexico to enjoy the FIFA World Cup is predicted to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, with many fans across the globe planning to witness the competition live.
Ghanaians have started planning for the competition, with many urging the Football Association and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to also speed up their efforts.
News emanating from the Ghana Football Association says that the football governing body for Ghana and the Ministry responsible for foreign affairs are meeting in Canada with the Canadian and American High Commissions.
The meeting is all about how visas will be given to Ghanaian fans in a special way, led by the Ghana Football Association’s president, Kurt Okraku and Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Visa applications to the USA and Canada have been so difficult recently, and it has been driving many Ghanaians crazy.
The draw for the tournament will be conducted in December 2025. Venues for the games and teams will be communicated by FIFA and the host nations after the draw, which will be attended by the President of the USA, Donald Trump.
