Kobina Amissah,  52, has been appointed as the new head coach of Bechem United.

The hunters on 3rd November sacked Desmond-Issah Botchway after a disastrous start to the season after having won just one game in eight. The victory came in Round 6, where the club had already been looking for potential replacements. The club thought Botchway was going to turn things around, but he failed to win his next two games.

With four defeats and three draws, Bechem United currently sits in 16th position, just two places above the bottom slot. The club had no option but to part ways with Botchway.

“Let’s welcome him and get ready for an exciting journey ahead!” the club announced on X.

Veteran gaffer, Kobina Amissah, who has managed clubs like Bibiani Gold Stars, Samartex, Elmina Sharks, Nsoatreman, Nations FC and Mighty Royals, is expected to turn things around for Bechem United, who believe they should not be in a relegation fight.
