The preparations towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup for Ghana start in November when the Black Stars travel to Asia to face the 2002 World Cup co-host nations, Japan and South Korea.
Ghana’s squad has been released with star names like Mohammed Kudus, skipper Jordan Ayew, Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey and Inaki Williams all missing due to injuries and fitness concerns.
The goalkeeping department is headlined by Ghana and Hearts of Oak’s number 1 Benjamin Asare, with St. Gallen’s Ati-Zigi and Joseph Anang of St. Patrick’s Athletic included.
Mohammed Salisu, Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah and Caleb Yirenkyi are part of Otto Addo’s defence for the tour.
Medeama’s Prince Owusu and Kwasi Sibo retain their slots in midfield, with Christopher Bonsu Baah included.
Kelvin Nkrumah of Medeama gets a first call-up to the senior national team after showing many glimpses of a great winger recently.
