Kwaku Manu’s ex-wife, Diane Naa Okailey Nyarko, has publicly dismissed recent claims by entertainment personality Ayisha Modi alleging she played a key role in facilitating her relocation to the United States.
The latest confrontation, which erupted over the weekend, has reignited long-standing tensions between the two women—tensions rooted in personal grievances, social-media clashes, and ongoing public scrutiny following Diane’s divorce from the popular Kumawood actor.
The controversy began on Saturday, November 15, 2025, when Ayisha Modi took to her Facebook page to react to a video in which Diane addressed persistent criticism from Ghanaians about her failed marriage.
In that video, Diane firmly stated that she owed no one an apology for her past actions and clarified that she was a mother to only three of Kwaku Manu’s four children, a statement that triggered mixed reactions online.
Reacting aggressively, Ayisha Modi accused Diane of being ungrateful and claimed she had pressured Kwaku Manu into assisting Diane to secure a U.S. visa—an allegation Ayisha suggested had strained her own relationship with the actor.
She further threatened to “deal with” Diane if she continued to speak publicly about her personal life. The claims were followed by a series of Facebook posts in which Ayisha continued berating Diane, urging her to keep silent and insinuating she owed her successes to external help, including Ayisha’s own supposed intervention.
However, in a direct and emotionally charged response, Diane rubbished the claims, insisting that Ayisha played absolutely no role in her travel, relocation, or subsequent marriage to her current husband, Tim, a white American whom she married in 2024.
According to Diane, Ayisha’s hostility stemmed from her refusal to lend her money—a request she says had become frequent and uncomfortable. She argued that declining such demands should not lead to defamation or false claims.
Diane further criticized Ghanaians who have verbally attacked her family, particularly her mother, during the ongoing online drama.
She described her mother as a “poor woman who raised her with dignity” and condemned those who mock her background while ignoring what she described as Ayisha Modi’s own troubling behavior. Without mentioning names, she hinted that some individuals attacking her publicly may be “mentally unstable” and urged her followers not to be swayed by social media personalities who thrive on online conflicts.
Reaffirming her independence, Diane stated: “Nobody helped me. Ask the person who claims she helped me what exactly she did for me. I am not one of the people she has supported. If those she helped are ungrateful, why bring their issues to me? You want to fight everyone.”
The feud comes against the backdrop of a long and public history of tension.
After divorcing Kwaku Manu, Diane faced years of public criticism fueled by rumours of infidelity and marital challenges.
The actor himself later admitted to engaging in extramarital affairs during the marriage, a revelation that complicated public perceptions of their breakup.
Since relocating to the U.S., Diane has largely remained silent about her past—until recent months, when social media discussions about her resurfaced.
