With just 24 days before the 2025 AFCON, CAF has announced the list of referees for the much-anticipated tournament.

In total, CAF selected 77 referees, where 28 will serve as central referees with 30 serving as assistants.

Video Assistant Referee will play a major role in the competition, with CAF selecting fourteen officials.

38-year-old Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea was the only Ghanaian to be included in the 77-man list, where he will serve as a main referee.

Algeria, Gabon, Mauritania, and Morocco are the only countries to have two main referees.

Somalia’s Omar Abdukadir Artan, Senegal’s Issa Sy, and Burundi’s Nsabihawenimana Pacifique are among the list.
